Senior Media Buyer
Job Description:
Senior Media Buyer (Google & Meta Lead-Gen + App Growth)Media Buyer
Company Overview
We are a performance-driven digital marketing agency serving local and regional businesses across the United States. With a strong in-house team and well-defined systems, we focus on delivering measurable growth through search visibility, technical excellence, and strategic execution. Our clients invest in premium services and expect expertise, clarity, and results — not experimentation. Paid media is one of the sharpest tools we have for that, and we build programs optimized to put qualified leads, phone calls, and app installs in front of the businesses counting on them.
Mission
We are hiring a senior, full-time Senior Media Buyer to take real ownership of a growing book of client paid-media accounts end to end. In this hands-on engineering and optimization role, you will manage accounts ranging from a few thousand dollars a month up into five figures, where real business revenue depends entirely on your performance decisions. You are not here to babysit campaigns or run last quarter's playbook; you are here to diagnose what's wasting spend, optimize full-funnel architectures, validate tracking integrity, and articulate a clear data-driven story directly to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will vary, giving you room to learn, grow, and strengthen your skills while supporting the team with excellence.
- Account Architecture & Optimization: Own a book of client paid-media accounts end-to-end, managing Google Ads (Search and Performance Max) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) from initial structural build through daily optimizations.
- Lead-Gen & App-Growth Execution: Run lead-generation accounts optimized to local service metrics (cost per qualified lead, phone calls, form quality) and app-growth campaigns (Google/Meta App campaigns) optimized to cost per install and high-value post-install actions.
- Spend Discipline & Budget Pacing: Proactively diagnose and cut wasted ad spend by executing strict search-term and negative-keyword discipline, audience/placement cleanup, bid-strategy alignment, and fixing Quality Score or ad-relevance issues.
- Tracking & Attribution Integrity: Define and validate conversion tracking loops, ensuring proper firing of GA4 events, Enhanced Conversions for Leads, Meta Pixel, Conversions API, gclid/fbclid capture, GTM, and mobile measurement setups (AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Firebase).
- Offline Conversion Loops: Build and feed offline-conversion loops so platforms learn from real, CRM-qualified leads rather than just superficial form fills, bidding directly toward leads that become paying customers.
- Creative Testing & Briefing: Run disciplined creative and landing-page testing alongside content, strategy, and web teams to lift overall conversion rates, translating performance data into actionable feedback for designers.
- Reporting & Client Communication: Deliver clear, on-time monthly performance reports connecting spend directly to business outcomes, and lead monthly paid-media reviews or QBR calls as the definitive technical paid-media expert.
Qualifications
- Years of Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Meta Ads with real, five-figure budget responsibility and a proven track record of results.
- CRM/Platform Experience: High proficiency working with CRM data loops, Google Tag Manager, and mobile measurement platforms (MMPs like AppsFlyer, Adjust, or Firebase / GA4 for mobile).
- Softwares: Google Ads (Search, PMax), Meta Ads Manager, GA4, Google Tag Manager, CRM platforms, and communication suites. Comfort with CallRail or similar call-tracking software is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge Required: Deep expertise in lead-generation frameworks for local or service-based businesses (home services, legal, retail) and mobile app-install architectures. Proven command of Smart Bidding, advanced conversion tracking (CAPI, Enhanced Conversions), and web/mobile attribution logic.
- Specific Gender: No preference
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical mind with the ability to turn cold platform data into specific optimization actions and a clear, non-technical business narrative.
- Clear, confident English (written and spoken) to act as a credible expert during strategic calls with US-based business owners.
- High agency and a self-directed work style—moving with urgency, taking complete ownership of numbers, and flagging anomalies before being asked.
- Elite problem-solving and debugging skills to trace broken attribution links or mismatches between call, form, and platform metrics without double-counting.
- Disciplined workflow management to seamlessly track budget pacing and deliver reports on deadline across multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Technical Requirements
- Own PC or laptop with reliable performance.
- Reliable internet connection (wired connection recommended).
- Noise-cancelling headset and a quiet, professional workspace.
- Ability to pass an advanced account auditing and conversion tracking validation assessment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ChatGPT / OpenAI Ads pilots.
- Paid campaign experience on TikTok, LinkedIn, or YouTube for specific verticals.
- Multi-location campaign experience, including geo-clusters and Local Services Ads (LSAs).
- Light scripting or automation comfort (Google Ads scripts, automated spreadsheets, basic API familiarity) to increase shipping and analysis velocity.
Success in the First 90 Days
- First 30 Days: Master internal tools, processes, and tracking stacks; take full ownership of your first accounts, audit their tracking loops (web and mobile), and execute initial optimization rounds and monthly reports flawlessly on time.
- First 90 Days: Achieve measurable improvements in cost per qualified lead, lead volume, and cost per install across your book; establish yourself as the senior buyer on the team providing shared context for team cross-coverage; and ensure all tracking is clean, trusted, and feeding the offline CRM loop.
What This Role Is Not
- Not a passive account-babysitting role that runs repetitive, outdated playbooks.
- Not an e-commerce or DTC-exclusive buying role focused purely on superficial blended ROAS.
- Not a reactive support position that requires constant reminders, micromanagement, or chasing.
